EDUCATION

Part of PAV's commitment involves advocating for the following:

• Improving school attendance across the Pilbara.

• Incorporating more Aboriginal history and culture in school curriculums.

• Introducing more community-based healing and learning.

• Acknowledging the importance of and employing more Aboriginal teachers and support staff to educate Aboriginal students.

• Teaching respect amongst Aboriginal students and address bullying of Aboriginal students.

• Bringing community-based, history and cultural education back into the community, schools, and TAFEs.

• Providing a leadership program to train future community leaders (using a bottom-up approach).
